How much do automatic sliding gates cost?+
A 4 m set with automation and fitting usually starts at ~€2,200 incl. VAT. The price depends on width, height, infill and automation. Exact price after measuring, within 1 working day.
How wide can sliding gates be?+
We can offer sliding gates for driveways from 3 to as much as 12 m wide. For wider driveways we make bi-parting sliding gates.
Do I need foundations and electricity?+
Yes: a foundation for the drive and the posts, and a 230 V cable to the drive location. We can do all of it ourselves – pour the foundations and the concrete plinth and run the cables. Before production we send a preparation drawing.
How long does production and fitting take?+
5–30 working days from order confirmation, depending on season and complexity.
Do sliding gates work in winter when it snows?+
Yes. The gate travels above the ground, so snow and ice in the driveway do not get in its way – just clear the sliding zone by the supports. The drives work down to –20 °C and below, and in winter it is worth wiping the photocells clean of sleet now and then.
What happens during a power cut?+
The drive is unlocked with a key and the gate is pushed by hand. If you would rather avoid that, we fit a backup battery – enough for dozens of cycles until power returns.
Can the gate be controlled from a phone?+
Yes. We add a GSM module (the gate opens when you call from a stored number) or a Wi-Fi module with an app that shows the gate status and lets you give access to family or couriers.
